Maisha Scholarship Program – Student Contract
As a recipient of the Maisha North America Foundation Scholarship, I understand that this opportunity is both a support and a trust. I agree to uphold the values and responsibilities expected of me throughout the duration of my scholarship.
By signing below, I confirm that I understand and agree to the following terms:
Academic Performance
I will maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. I understand that my academic performance will be reviewed annually.
If I fail to meet the GPA requirement, I will be placed on academic probation for a period of up to one year, during which I must demonstrate improvement and meet the required academic standard.
If, after the probation period, I am still unable to meet the academic requirement, I understand that my scholarship may be terminated.
Zakat Eligibility
I confirm that I meet the criteria for zakat-based financial assistance, and I agree to provide updated financial documentation upon request.
Good Moral Character
I will represent the values of the Maisha North America Foundation Scholarship with integrity, honesty, and respectful behavior both on and off campus.
I understand that any form of academic misconduct, criminal behavior, or serious disciplinary actions may disqualify me from the scholarship.
Full-Time Enrollment
I will remain enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student during the academic year. If I plan to transfer, take a leave of absence, or make a major academic change, I will notify the scholarship committee in advance.
Community Engagement
I will actively participate in Maisha-related community events and give back where possible through service or engagement for the duration of the scholarship program.
Annual Review
I agree to participate in an annual scholarship review, including submitting transcripts, financial documentation (if requested), and participating in check-ins or evaluations with the Maisha team.
Communication
I will respond promptly to communication from the Maisha team and will inform them of any major life changes that may affect my eligibility or participation in the program.
Student Acknowledgement
I have read and understood the terms of this contract. I acknowledge that failure to meet any of the requirements may result in the reduction or loss of my scholarship.
